Sarah

Sarah (Hebrew: שָׂרָה, Arabic: سارة, Sāra ; "a woman of high rank") is the wife of Abraham as described in the Quran and the Hebrew Bible (Genesis).

The Hebrew word sarah indicates a woman of high rank and is sometimes translated as "princess" or goddess, or "high holy one".

Judaism
Sarah was originally called Sarai (שָׂרַי / שָׂרָי / שרי, Standard Hebrew Saray, Tiberian Hebrew Saray / Śāray / Śārāy, Gen. 17:15) and was married to and lived with her husband, then called Abram (אברם) in the city of Haran.

Etymology
Saray is a proper feminine noun from the masuline root word Sar (Strong's H8323) which is from the primitive root verb sarar (שרר):
